Koren graduated with a Bachelor of Nursing in 2000 and became a certified Nurse Practitioner in 2004, working in Dialysis from 2005 until my medical retirement in 2023. She is a proud mother of three amazing, active boys. At 38, Koren began experiencing symptoms and, after four years on a waitlist and an initial misdiagnosis, she was diagnosed on June 25, 2019. At the time, Koren was juggling life as a full-time NP and a busy mom. Chronic illness turned my world upside down, but it has also been one of her greatest teachers—transforming my lifestyle and showing me that consistent exercise is essential to slowing progression.
